Sonny's best friend Lucy came to visit from Wisconsin, and Sonny became so excited to the point that she made a schedule which she called "fun-genda". When Tawni decided to tag along with them upon Lucy's invitation, Sonny became jealous. Nico and Grady, on the other hand, were not invited to Chad's Chadtastic birthday party. Murphy then later came in to give them the pizza that they ordered, only for them to find out that he took a bite out of every pizza slice.
When Chad came around to the Prop House to check on his cut outs, he asked Sonny if she would be attending his party. Sonny informed Chad that she wouldn't be able to go, because she wanted to spend Lucy's last night in California with just the two of them. Lucy later came in and met Chad, and Lucy wanted to go to Chad's birthday party, but Sonny lied and said to her that she was not invited. On another side of the studio, Nico and Grady

decided to put scabanero peppers on the pizza in order to make Murphy not eat their pizza ever again. Murphy ran out screaming after taking a bite out of the pizza that he confiscated from Grady, who was disguised as a pizza delivery boy.
Lucy and Sonny were in the middle of having blindfolded makeovers when Tawni turned up to take both of them to the party, making Lucy find out the truth and get mad at Sonny. Lucy and Tawni went to Chad's birthday party without Sonny. Sonny tried to get into Chad's birthday party, but because she said no to Chad, she was put on the 'Do Not Allow Sonny Munroe Into This Party Under Any Circumstance' list. She eventually managed to apologize to Lucy in front of everyone, and in their reunion, ended up ruining Chad's birthday. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady found out that Murphy was sent to the

hospital, and in their guilt, came to visit him. Murphy managed to exact revenge upon them by giving them the rest of the scabañero pizza, which is the hottest pepper known to man.
This is the first episode of Sonny with a Chance where Zora does not appear in.
It is speculated that Sonny might have been bullied when she said that she wished to have had a Bully-Proof Backpack. Demi Lovato was bullied in middle school as she says to the public, and she plays the part of Sonny.
When Murphy delivers the pizza, Grady points out that there is a mushroom on his shoe and Nico points out a sausage on Murphy, but the pizza is only plain cheese. It is possible that Nico and Grady ordered mushrooms and sausages but Murphy ate them all, although one fell on his shoe.
